
Dr. Gamache’s research interests vary widely, including topics related to forensic mental health, positive psychology, wellness, and literary criticism. As a member of the forensic psychology research lab of Roger Williams University, Dr. Gamache has directed research into expert witness testimony on risk assessment, public perceptions of dangerousness of sexual offenders, and the use perceptions of the insanity defense. Beyond the forensic realm, Dr. Gamache has conducted research into college student mental health issues, college student success, and methods to minimize burnout in healthcare professionals. His research has been presented at national and international psychology conferences, and published in peer-reviewed academic journals. Dr. Gamache is currently exploring several research projects, including a study on the impact of true crime media on criminal investigations.
