About Me

Hello!

I'm Kyle, and I am a mental health counselor and professor of forensic psychology. My work sits at the intersection of mental health and the legal system— whether I'm teaching in the classroom, working with clients, or conducting research. I’ve taught at several universities, worked in correctional and community mental health settings, and continue to explore how the public, the criminal justice system, and psychology interconnect. I’m passionate about helping people make sense of human behavior, especially in high-stakes contexts. I specialize in trauma, forensic counseling, and ethical practice, and I’ve spent much of my career helping prepare future counselors to thrive in complex clinical and legal environments.

Whether you're here as a fellow professional, a student, or just curious about the field—I’m glad you stopped by.
